Initial Appointment Reservations
We have resumed accepting new patient appointments as of December 19, 2025.
Due to high demand, our schedule is currently booked approximately three months in advance, so initial appointments may be scheduled for dates further ahead. Even with advance booking, available time slots remain limited—especially on Saturdays, when it is often difficult to accommodate new patients. We appreciate your understanding regarding the current booking situation.
After the initial examination, we will schedule a second visit to explain your treatment plan and discuss our recommended approach before beginning any procedures.
Please review the initial‑visit process described on this page and contact us by phone to make your reservation.

We provide thoughtful, evidence‑based dentistry designed to support your oral health over the long term.
Our Philosophy

We believe that dentistry is not only about treating teeth, but about supporting a person’s life through oral health. Our approach is grounded in careful diagnosis, conservative treatment, and a long‑term perspective. Oral diseases progress slowly.
For this reason, we avoid making decisions based solely on immediate symptoms. Instead, we take time to understand the underlying causes and work to prevent future problems. We value clarity, sincerity, and predictability in every step of care.
Our goal is to help each patient maintain a healthy, comfortable mouth for many years to come.
The Shimizu Method

Our clinical approach is built on five core principles:
1. Prevention First
Early detection and maintenance are central to long‑term oral health.
2. Careful Diagnosis
We gather detailed information—radiographs, photographs, and clinical findings—to understand each case from multiple angles.
3. Conservative, Evidence‑Based Treatment
We recommend only what is necessary and preserve as much natural tooth structure as possible.
4. Long‑Term Perspective
Treatment plans are designed with the next 10–20 years in mind.
5. Team‑Based Care
Our hygienists are oral‑health specialists who play a central role in prevention and maintenance.
Our Clinical Style

Our clinical style reflects our commitment to clarity and predictability.
- We take time to explain conditions and treatment options in a way that is easy to understand.
- We make decisions together with our patients, respecting their pace and preferences.
- We focus on reducing the risk of future retreatment by addressing root causes.
- We value calm, attentive, and respectful communication.
For First‑Time Patients

Your first visit focuses on diagnosis rather than immediate treatment.
We perform a comprehensive examination, including radiographs and photographs, to thoroughly assess your oral condition.
Because we take time to gather and evaluate information, treatment may not be performed on the first day.
Emergency Care (Important Notice)
Please note: emergency care is generally reserved for patients who are currently receiving regular treatment or maintenance at our clinic. We prioritize ongoing patients to ensure continuity of care.
Services and Treatment Information

We provide a range of general and preventive dental services, including:
- Comprehensive examinations
- Preventive care and maintenance

Our Team

Our team works with a shared philosophy and a commitment to long‑term patient care.
- Our hygienists are trained as oral‑health specialists and play a central role in prevention.
- We maintain consistent standards through continuous education and regular case discussions.
- Each team member respects the roles and expertise of others, ensuring smooth and predictable care.
We believe that a unified team is essential for supporting patients over the long term.
About the Director

Dr. Yuichiro Shimizu became a dentist out of a desire to help people and a love for precise, detailed work.
After graduating from dental school, he trained under his father and learned the realities of Japanese public dental care.
He later completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program in the United States, where he studied comprehensive clinical dentistry.
During his time in North America, he encountered the philosophy of the Tucker Study Club, which emphasizes careful diagnosis, conservative gold restorations, and reducing the risk of retreatment.
This philosophy continues to shape the foundation of our clinical approach.
Dr. Shimizu regularly attends dental meetings in North America to learn directly from clinicians and to stay connected with primary sources of information.
He values evidence that has not been altered through translation and strives to incorporate reliable, predictable techniques into daily practice.
He has contributed articles to professional journals and has presented at academic meetings and seminars, sharing insights on diagnosis and conservative treatment.
Dr. Shimizu is comfortable communicating in English, and international patients are welcome.
He aims to provide clear explanations and thoughtful care regardless of language or background.
Director’s Message

“Dentistry has the power to support a person’s life in meaningful ways.
For that reason, I approach each day’s work with sincerity and care.
I will continue learning and refining my skills to pursue treatment with greater predictability and long‑term benefit.”
